The hardest part is the UI bits, not the under-the-hood bits.  Obviously
you need a checkbox on the config dialog, but also you should do like
KDE and highlight items if they're single-click activatable.  KDE makes
them blue and underlined, like a Netscape hyperlink.

As for the guy who suggested waiting for Nautilus, if it's truly easy to
add the feature to GMC, I think you should do it.  Nautilus looks like
it's a few months off at least.  Adding a few Nautilus features to GMC
won't make Nautilus obsolete-on-arrival: GMC still has a rotten
architecture, so even if it had feature parity with Nautilus (minus
asynchronous operation and such) Nautilus would still be worthwhile.

In the meantime, let's make GMC as useful as we can.  Notice just last
week GMC got a trashcan (finally)?  Same idea.
