The problem is with the printer.  The 722C is basically a windows only
printer.  HP only released drivers for Windows machines and has kept the
PPA protocol the printer uses a secret.  If you go to

You can find some software that will allow the printer to function.  I
haven't tried it yet so I have no idea how well it works.
