dissapearing windows.

i'm using oct gnome on a redhat 6.0 platform.

i notice that when i left click on the reduce window icon, instead of
going down to an icon on the panel, it completly dissapears. it does not
appear on any panel in the setup, but shows up on a ps -aux.

any ideas whats wrong?
