jpeg problems

I can't run the help browser from the menu so from the command line:

gene@ozob:~> gnome-help-browser
gnome-help-browser: error in loading shared libraries:
/usr/lib/libgtkxmhtml.so.1: undefined symbol: jpeg_resync_to_restart

and the help browser doesn't start.

My libs seem to be installed correctly. So far gnome-help-browser and
gnome-run are the only programs that do not run.
