[ANNOUNCE]: Electric Ears 0.6.7 is out

Hello dear primates with ears!

    A new powerful release of Electric Ears has been released: 0.6.7 is
out on the web site.

    New! Now also debian and rpm packages are supported!

    There have been some improvements in the selection system, and in
the plugin system.

    I have also made some test and I was really impressed to see Electric Ears
load a 250Mb WAVE file in about 25 seconds!!! It uses also something like
2Mb of RSS (total amount of memory used by the task).

* Availability

 http://www.gdev.net/~torello/index.html

* Current major features

   * Load large files (tenth of megabytes), without loading the sample in
     RAM. So you can load a 250Mb wave files even if you have only 32Mb of RAM.
     (This feature was an original idea of Andreas Meyer).
   * An high-performance clipboard, for cut-copy-paste operations. Also
     multilevel undo and redo are supported (and they are also really fast).
   * Load all file types supported by the library audiofile. At now it can
     load .wav, .au, .aiff and .aiffc files.
   * Play samples through esound or through OSS sound systems.
   * Record new samples via esound sound system.
   * A powerful system for handling selections and markers.
   * Session managment support.

* New in this release

   * Major visible features

	* A plugin-list informative dialog.
	* Now you can open a new untitled sample from the clipboard
	  contents.
	* Fixed the file selection widget: now if you click ok while
	  selected a directory, it will change the directory, istead of
	  reporting an error.

   * Internal changes

     	* Now the mixer is correctly started with gnome-execute.
	* Some minor autoconf/automake problems.
	* Now meta-methods are C++ compatible.
