Help needed with memprof

Hi,

I try memprof in order to chase memory leaks in my Gnome app.
Memprof draws a yellow bar then starts eating up all my CPU time and 
doing nothing. My app didn't even show up.

here it is, what ps tells me :

I tried with several other GTK/GNOME app and the result was always the 
same.

My system :
 - Mandrake 7.0
 - October Gnome (gnome-core-1.0.55/gnome-libs-1.0.54)
 - memprof-0.3.0
 - binutils-2.9.5.0.16

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
