Tasklist maximum size

I thought I read once that someone was going to increase the maximum
size of the tasklist applet. This was some time ago and I thought they
said it was fixed in CVS. I'm now using gnome-core-1.1.2 and it still
won't go beyond ~1000. Will this be fixed still or should I file a
WISHLIST bug?
