GNOME And Internet....

Hi!

I am very new to Linux, and Gnome itself. I have Caldera Linux 2.4. It
came with KDE, but I couldn't customize everything like I can with
Gnome, so I downloaded Gnome from HelixCode. I LOVE IT! The only problem
is: How do I get onto the Internet? I added the modem lights applet to
my panel, but when I click connect - nothing happens. Currently I'm
forced to use KPPP. I want to get an app that can do the same thing as
KPPP, so I can rid myself of KDE for good! I have downloaded
Gnome-network-1.0.2, but can't install it. I have followed the
directions, but no succeed. Also, I have downloaded Gnorpm - which will
take over Kpackage, but same problem - won't install!

Can someone either help me with the installations problems, or tell me
where I can get a rpm of gnome-network-1.0.2?

Thanks,
Michael Weichert

P.S. Also, I have downloaded themes for sawfish but when I attempt to
activate them, I but an error "Bad argu .*'5/"
