Newbie Question

Hi,

I just signed up to this list and I'm wondering if anyone could help. I'm a
Windows NT person and after a lot of trouble managed to get X-Windows
installed on my Red Hat Linux box.

The problem is that while using Gnome, my system partially freezes. The
mouse still works, and the clock still runs but nothing else seems to
respond. The panel freezes as well.

Does anyone know what's causing this?
