RE: Launcher icons on tasklist?

Hello,

If you start the Xserver and have trouble with a window
manager, or for some other reason you cannot get to the
main menu as the gentleman suggests, then I would recommend
that you access a virtual terminal by slecting Ctrl-Alt-2
and running a "ps -ef" to find the process number to "kill -9".

HTH,

Christopher

You don't have "Log out" at the bottom of your main menu? When I select
this I
get the third option of just logging out of Gnome (and X) and going to
[username]$ at the console.
