Well. I suppose. :) It's just that such dictates annoy the living crap outta
me.

I'd say the most direct way of doing so would be to rip it out of the source
code and recompile. If it works make a patch and just reapply.

But then I haven't looked that deeply into gnome so I dunno if there's a 
config option. :)
