And if already using a small font? Font size has nothing to do with weird
texts. I have seen a GIMP patch to workarround a problem (text do not wrap,
so a guy forced some "\n"s until they find the problem).

If the problem exist, I would report a bug. Bad GUI in a GUI Desktop is a
bug, a serious one. Like command line programs that do not understand the
arguments (imagine a ls that says "-l long", but uses -L).
