Helix updater

hey the helix updater dont that great a job, i had a older version of 
glade and i new their was a new one on the helix sites but it never 
showed up. and it always shows things i dont have installed, i dont 
think it should be done like this, it should ask ya if ya want to 
install new software or urgrade current software or something, and the 
upgrade part compares what the is to what you have a only  shows things 
that you have installed and are newer, and some info like it does now, 
eg what the upgrade does  also how big it is,
the install part could go on a bit like the installer but doesnt list 
things you have installed already,
and if anything needs to get another package it should ask you because 
you should have the options not to get it, coz you might have it 
compiled on or something.
