gimp and perl--not including itself

Ever since I cleaned out my cvs repository, I can't get the gimp to build
the perl module.  I've attached the configure output below, which
indicates that it finds the required packages, but decides not to build
the module.  I run configure with --enable-perl and it still doesn't help.
Gimp.pm is never build, and gimp consequently freaks out on loading with
all sorts of lack-of-Gimp.pm messages.  Any tips?

P.S.  The "de" two lines up doesn't mean gimp thinks I speak German, does
it?  It's been a long time since high school lessons.
