Hello:
I've been trying to compile gnome-libs, both versions 1.0.16 and 1.0.40
give me the following error:
gnome-name-server.o: In function `main':
gnome-name-server.o(.text+0x695): undefined reference to
`impl_CosNaming_NamingContext__create'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [gnome-name-service] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/gnome-libs-1.0.40/libgnorba'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/gnome-libs-1.0.40'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
I do have ORBit installed (tried compiling gnome-libs with ORBit versions
0.4.94 and 0.4.95), and have run ldconfig (after installing ORBit). I
also double checked to make sure the included file in main.c that is
needed for the `impl_CosNaming_NamingContext__create' is installed on my
system, and it is. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
Also, I ran configure with the "--with-gnu-ld" option. and I am using GNU
ld version 2.9.1.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt
