control-center 1.0.40, bug #1949 for 1.0.6 not corrected

I have generated succesfully with egcs 1.1.2 on the following
platforms:

i686-pc-linux-gnu (Redhat 5.1)
i686-pc-linux-gnu (Redhat 6.0)
sparc-sun-solaris2.6
alpha-dec-osf4.0d
hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20
mips-sgi-irix6.5
powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0

- on sparc-sun-solaris2.6, hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20,mips-sgi-irix6.5 and 
powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0, problem at link time for screensaver appplet,
the "setenv" routine does not exist in these systems. You need to
replace it by "putenv". Correction is described in bug report
#1949. Moreover, there is still this direct reference to
/usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver which is left.
