GNU Midnight Commander 4.5.38 is released

Hello, lovers of entomological carnage,

Version 4.5.38 of the GNU Midnight Commander has just been released.
Exactly 795,238.46 bugs have been fixed from the previous version.  It
is very likely that your favorite bug has been fixed, so please try
this version and marvel at how less sucky it is.

	- New Greek and Swedish translations.

	- Better installation of documentation files.

	- Better drag and drop feedback and behavior.  Fixed dropping
          on brief, detailed, and custom views.  The drop-action
          metadata or MIME property is now used everywhere.

	- New page for customizing desktop preferences.

	- Desktop icons can now have shaped text.

	- Desktop icons now rescale big images correctly.

	- Desktop icons can be sorted by different criteria and
          arranged in different orientations.

	- Consistent error checking for file renaming.

	- "Reverse selection" works again.

	- Improved icon and file selection behavior.

	- Consistent handling of symlinks to directories.

	- Better owner/group reporting in file properties dialog.

	- Better behavior of the file operation progress window.

	- Better behavior when editing icon filenames.

	- Better handling of icons for symlinks and broken links.

	- Fixed some security issues in the extfs and utility shell
          scripts.

	- Correctness fixes for shell quoting.

	- Fixed launching of programs from panels.

	- Mountable devices are now created in getmntent() order.

	- Help button in the preferences dialog works now.

	- Updates to the MIME types and actions lists.

	- Lots of improvements for the internal editor.

	- Lots of updated translations.

	- Hints in text mode version are now localized.

	- Samba file system now supports password entry.

	- Lots of little UI fixes for the text mode version.

	- New syntax files.

	- Fixed buffer overruns in the ftpfs file system.

	- Lots of fixes in the VFS and the different file systems.

* Important note:

	The GNOME edition of the GNU Midnight Commander will work
	*much* better of you have gnome-libs-1.0.16 or later.
