When I do that, I get the following message:
"** CRITICAL **: file applet-widget.c: line 668
(gnome_panel_applet_corba_init):
assertion `panel_client != ((void *)0)` failed."
"** CRITICAL **: file applet-widget.c: line 708 (applet_widget_new):
assertion `corbadat!=NULL` failed."
"** ERROR **: Canīt create applet!"
"aborting..."
"Aborted"
So, this is what I get when I type gnomepager_applet (yeah, I did
logically have GNOME running when I typed this ;-)
If anybody can identify what these messages mean or (even better) if
anybody knows how to solve the problem these messages are indicating,
please drop me a line.
BTW: Someone on gnome-list@gnome.org asked if I installed the SuSE RPMs
or the tarballs. To answer the question: I installed the tarballs.
Any help welcome,
Nils
