October GNOME Comments

Just finished compiling and installing all the latest Gnome components,
and here's what I have to say. Many programs still have Gtk-WARNINGs and
such. I have no idea which ones, because glib has no mechanism to specify
from which application the error originated (a sorely needed feature,
IMHO).

This is my first experience with the Pager's replacements, Desk Guide and
Task List. I am disappointed with the Task List. It gives no indication
that a window is minimized. This is troublesome when I have 3 rxvts and I
need to bring up the minimized ones.

I have my foot menu configured to display the Debian menus, but it doesn't
work. I'm using Debian 2.1 (slink).

Also, it looks like the Drawer no longer has the auto-hide option, where
the drawer automatically closes after clicking a launcher. I enjoyed that
feature...

Aside from these few complaints, it looks much better. My previous version
was 1.0.9, from the Debian slink debs, and this is quite an improvement.
Keep up the good work!
