IMHO, this would be plain insane, not only because there is often
Backspace/Delete terminfo setting havoc on some Linux systems, leading
to confusion regarding this, but also it should be harder to
accidentally delete without confirmation that with confirmation.

Anyway, deleting with confirmation becomes unnecessary as soon as
deleting into the litter bin becomes the default.
