This is not a bug report, I know it doesn't happen on another machine, though it is odd it happens on mine.
Anyway, the problem is that when I launch gmc from say a terminal window, or maybe gmc's own launcher, it will place icons on the desktop, and makes a totaly new process, even though gmc is already running on my desktop. This means I have some app loaded I don't need, you can't kill it (since I have session management on), the desktop is cluttered, and you can't drag and drop icons around the desktop anymore
When I launch the new gmc froma terminal, I get this:
** WARNING **: There is already a process taking drops on the desktop!
I have gnome-libs-1.0.9, gnome-core-1.0.5-1, and mc-4.5.31-1
