gtk problem..pixmaps..

hi all
i always get a problem after i ahve isntalled gtk and glib 1.2.3
from scratch:
i egt ther error: Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libpixmap.so",

and on starting of grip i get 
grip: error in loading shared libraries
libgtk.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

how can i solve these problems??
can anyone help ?? would be great!!!
