Are there plans to Gnomeify the GIMP? It is pretty much essential 
for an intergrated desktop to be able to cut'n'paste from the GIMP 
into one of the word processors/presenters/etc.

Last time I looked this required the DGS extension, is this going to
be ported to use the Ca[a]nvas?

What is really missing from this list is a GNOME port of LyX. Even
with its sucky xforms GUI this is a "killer app" (IMHO)
