Hi all.
I have a Debian potato and ever since the other
day when I was editing MIME types from gmc
almost no gnome applications work.
An ltrace on gnome-session ends with the words
--------------------------------------------------------------------
g_str_equal(0x08053f78, 0x400a37ae, 0x403f16ec, 0x0805bb18, 0) = 0
g_str_equal(0x0805b6d0, 0x400a37ae, 0x403f16ec, 0x0805bb18, 0) = 1
g_str_hash(0x400a37b6, 0x403f16ec, 0x0805bb18, 0, 0xbffffb18) =
0x0a63fb34
g_str_equal(0x0805bae8, 0x400a37b6, 0x403f16ec, 0x0805bb18, 0) = 1
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++
--------------------------------------------------------------------
and an ltrace on panel shows
--------------------------------------------------------------------
[~] > ltrace panel

Do you make any sense of this ?
I'm using the newest gnome debs f.ex.
gnome-session 1.0.5-1
gnome-panel 1.0.5-1
How can I undo all configuration on my part on gnome ?
I would really like to get gnome up and running again
and I would like to hear what you think.
Thank you.
Halldór
