New libs 1.0.9

Hi!

I am new to Linux, so I am not  a wizard. I downloaded the new library
in tar.gz format. I tried to follow the README file, but got lots of
error messages. I am running RED HAT 6.0 with Gnome 1.0. Is there an rpm
version of the libs so i just click on it and everytihng will be ok?
