XDM/GDM Problems

I've been having problems loggin in using xdm/gdm. The problem is that
[g,x]dm, after starting up just fine and after validating my password 
perfectly just restarts and never gives me a X with gnome or something
else running. I've looked at /var/log/xdm-errors.log and found:

How can I fix this?
