R-gnome: lack of documentation and configuration woes

Thanks for this RPM,  but it's rather sparse on documentation!  The RPM
contains a single binary, and nothing else.  RPM -qpi also gives overly
terse information.

I've started it, but it exits immediately saying it can't find the base
package.  The terminal version of R works fine.

R-gnome looks useful, but more info would be helpful.  Where do I look?
