Trying to connect to Internet?

I have a different problem.. I use redhat 5.2 and kernel 2.0.36.0-7 and
problem happens when I try to connecet to internet..I can Not
understand.When I write usernet on xterm suddenly screen turns in blue
or different colors in different varvations of X...
Anyway sometimes this happens when ppp turns green in
usernet....Something strange....
And sometimes this happens when I try to open Netscape.
I have a 3dfx (not intręduced to Linux)that can create that???????????
or I reseted my system alot..(and reinstalled Linux Redhat) that can
create problem.Bad partition?
But I always check my drive for bad partitions......
