[INFO] Want to port Ergane?

Hi, all you language loving hackers,

Here is some information for you guys who
are thinking about porting Ergane to Linux/
    GNOME.

For more info about Ergane, take a look
at the proposal I posted some time ago

Okay, I have no objections to make Ergane a copyleft programme.
The sources are in fact already available for downloading, although
the present source files are outdated. I shall update them as soon
as possible.

It should be possible to copy the basic dictionary files (VO0, VO1, VO2,
ES0, ES1, ES2, TR0 and TR1) to a Linux system and use them without
having to convert them. The MDB files (MS Access 1.1 format) on the
other hand would have to be exported and then converted to a format that
can be used in Linux. The MDB files contain all dictionary data other than the
wordlists themselves (gender of nouns, sort indices, pronunciation, word usage,
and much more, depending on language and development stage).
