I'm running Slackware 3.5 and libc5
I had alot of problems(with gtk , with imlib , with ORBit...)
I fixed all. Today I tried to compile gnome-libs 1.0.5:
No errors with configure
A few warnings(make didn't interrupt compile)
I had problems with "make install";
chgrp games /usr/local/var/games && chmod g=rwXs /usr/local/var/games
../libgnome/gnome-gen-mimedb /usr/local/etc/mime-magic
make[2]: *** [install-data-local] Segmentation fault
make[2]: Leaving directory `/source/gnome-libs-1.0.5/gnome-data'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/source/gnome-libs-1.0.5/gnome-data'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
When I run gnome-gen-mimedb with wrong parms;
savana:/source/gnome-libs-1.0.5/libgnome# gnome-gen-mimedb --xyz
Usage: gnome-gen-mimedb [filename]
Without parms;
savana:/source/gnome-libs-1.0.5/libgnome# gnome-gen-mimedb
Segmentation fault
is the command below important for GNOME installation?
../libgnome/gnome-gen-mimedb /usr/local/etc/mime-magic
if it's not important i'll edit Makefile OR I'll have to find a libc5
binary of that file
It's only 3kb, default location of that file is : /usr/local/bin
So please mail me that file or tell me what I have to do
Regards,
-Can
