gnome-ppp

Subject: gnome-ppp

when i run gnome-ppp 0.99.0 i get this:

the status bar says running pppd
the status bar says dialing
i get a dial tone, it dials, and it connects
the status bar says ppp connection established
then i get a dialog saying the ppp daemon died unexpectedly
it hangs up

does anybody know what's wrong?
