RE: GNOME/RPM Lib call to libglib-1.1.so.13

I hate a great many things about KDE. But it's a preferance.
Choice is good, and I support KDE, I just don't use it.
If you know what I mean? I'll complain about some stuff in
Linux around linux users, but never around Wintel or Mac
users. <shrug>
Disclaimer having been said. The interface is boring and
old. It's a CDE look alike with a backed which is ruled
by a pansy-ass wanna-be, but not GPL license. (the QTPL1.0)
GNOME is VERY fresh, and well thought out. It's a NEW
way of doing things, and it's 100% GPL. Furthermore, the
development is very openbased, and all incompasing, unlike
the KDE "we want any easy desktop..." dream, which is fine
for them, but what about me? I want a hot rod. Therefore
I choose the GNOME philosophy "It's you're desktop,
how would you like it to look?".
Also, this is the same reason I use (and have always, even
when it sucked) Enlightenment. It's fresh, clean, and revolutionary!
Look at everything else, they are all nock offs. WindowMaker =
Afterstep = NextStep/OpenStep. FVWM = OpenWin. KDE = CDE + Win95isms.
So on, and so forth... Enlightenment is REAL thinking. It's a NEW
FRESH idea come to our desktops. This is the kind of thinking
we need in the Linux community. Where will we be in 2 years
if someone says "Hey, lets copy MacOS and just make it better."
No... You have to ReThink Everything (tm)! That's why
people like Stallman, Raster, Cox, Torvalds, and the GNOME team
are my heros.... They say "What do I want!", not "What will people
like?". This is the linux way.
