gnome-libs-1.0.3

Hi, 

I have been trying to make a SRPM out of the tar.gz gnome-libs-1.0.3 file.
I am taking the spec file from the tarball and doing a rpm -ba gnome-libs.
I did modify the spec file to have 1.0.3 instead of 1.0.2 and placed
everything in its rightfull directory.  But when I run rpm -ba ... I get the
following error:

ldd:  /lib/ld-linux.so.2 $exited with unknown code (139)

this message repeats several time and the rpm is not created.  Now if I
compile the source out of the tarball everything works fine.  I will also
note that everything compiles when I use rpm, it just quites at the make rpm
part.  I would appreciate any help I can get on this ..., thanks
