Re: Gnome and Sound

Ok. I updated my /etc/ld.so.conf and that cleared up all of the problems finding the shared libraries. Now everything is working fine using esddsp except for x11amp.

If I unset the SUID bit on x11amp, I can't start x11amp anymore. I get an error that says:

opendir: Permission denied

[1] Segmentation fault esddsp x11amp

However, if I reset the SUID bit on x11amp, I can start up esddsp x11amp, but when i try to play mp3s, it won't play. it just runs through the playlist very quickly and then stops.

Any ideas about what I am doing wrong? All my other apps seem to work ok including gqmpeg.

Thanks again for your help...
