Shared Homes

I have noticed a sever problem with part of the gnome & enlightenment
design. Neither one works well in non-homogenius shared home
directories.

I have a sparc and a PII. My PII server my homes...
On the sparc neither E nor gnome works.

the PII is running gnome from CVS
and the sparc is runnung RH6.0 stock...

does anyone have a work around? (like the gimp and gimp_11 directories?)

I still maintain the point that designing a monolithic kernel in 1991 is a
fundamental error.  Be thankful you are not my student.  You would not get a
high grade for such a design :-)
