latest GNOME on FreeBSD

Hello,

I´m trying to install the latest GNOME version on my FreeBSD Box.I had
to make some changes to the code, that it would compile and now, I´ve
the following problem.

Whenever a application starts, (e.g. the panel or the gmc) I get the
following
message(s):
----------------------------------
gdk_imlib ERROR: Cannot load image:
/opt/gnome/share/pixmaps/gnome-default.png
All fallbacks failed.
----------------------------------

Any idea what could be wrong with my installation?
