automake does not support conditional definition ...

Currently it seems compilation of gnumeric from CVS fails with this
error:

src/Makefile.am:271: warning: automake does not support conditional definition of GNUMERIC_CORBA_GENERATED in EXTRA_DIST

because GNUMERIC_CORBA_GENERATED is defined in Makefile.am within the
construct
if BONOBO
...
else
...
endif

and then referenced within EXTRA_DIST. I am using automake 1.4a
(RedHat 6.0). Is there a newer version?
