He's trying to upgrade to core 1.0.7-1!

The procedure would be:

1. Make sure you have
   - gnome-core-1.0.7-1.i386.rpm
   - gnome-core-devel-1.0.7-1.i386.rpm
2. Do
   rpm -Uhv gnome-core-1.0.7-1.i386.rpm gnome-core-devel-1.0.7-1.i386.rpm

Alternatively do:

To get rid of your dependency problem:

rpm -e gnome-core-devel-1.0.4-34

And now you can

 rpm -Uhv gnome-core-1.0.7-1.i386.rpm

and if you want to be able to compile/develop new gnome stuff:

 rpm -Uhv gnome-core-devel-1.0.7-1.i386.rpm

Greets,

Michiel Toneman

P.S. You can mail me personally for help, as these problems are
more to do with RPM than Gnome.
