In article <7n22dn$kkd$1@topsy.kiva.net> you write:
:
: Though my biggest problem is when i highlight WindowMaker or
: Enlightenment and click edit, everything inside the edit dialog box is
: greyed out and i cannot change any settings.
These are "system" entries bundled with control-center. They are
defaults - you cannot edit or delete them. If you want, you can make
your own entry containing the same data and manipulate that. I do that
to run Windowmaker without the clip.
: I'm running redhat 6.0 with the window managers that shipped with it. I
:
: found out about this problem becuase when i was logging out at the
: panel, my WindowMaker desktop was not being saved when i logged back
: in.
What are you wanting to have saved that is not getting saved? The
gnome-session session manager should be able to restore any
applications that do proper session management, while WindowMaker will
remember its own theme and style settings. To have gnome-session
restore your apps you need to either select "Save Current Setup" in
the Logout dialog, or activate "Automatically Save Changes" in the
Control Center/Session Management capplet.
If you do this, be sure to turn off WindowMaker's "Save Session"
option. WindowMaker implements its own session management facilities,
but trying to use those and gnome-session at the same time can be
troublesome.
