GTK menus need double-click?

Hi all,

Running latest gnome/e: right-click over the background to bring up what I
believe is the GMC menu (the thing starting New->), I move over New, over
to Terminal, but I need to click twice to activate the entry, that is, I
can't right-click, move over New->Terminal, and click once, I have to do
it twice.

This must be bug?
