libzvt vt_cursor_state vs. irssi-0.7.12

irssi-0.17.12 (recent, as of a few days ago) seems to think that
vt_cursor_state() is a public function, whereas the current CVS
gnome-libs thinks it's static.  Am I missing a version dependency for
irssi, or a sticky tag for gnome-libs, or is irssi just being developed
against an old version of gnome-libs?
