RE: Core-file



core = core dump. (probably got it's name from what reactors do when they
meltdown).
that's what is left behind from a program crashing. they're safe to delete.
they contain the memory of an app as it dies. 

useful command for root: "find / -name core | xargs rm -i

finds all core files and prompts you to delete them.
