I got this problem too when compiling gnome-objc on HPUX. I don't recall
if it was in the same area, but it was the Invalid loader fixup for
symbol.
I did a search on HP's support site (blech) and upgraded to the lastest
releases of the libraries, but it was not helpful. At least it's not just
you (or not just me :)
