gtcd: CDDB access via HTML and proxy?

Is anyone looking at adding the ability for cddbslave to access a cddb
server using the HTML protocol and doing it via a proxy?

I understand this to be the only way to access CDDB from behind a
firewall, right?

If no one is looking at it, I may take a stab.
