ORBit problem: libpopt >=1.2.1 required?

Hi,
I'm just trying to compile ORBit from cvs, and keeps getting this
error during configure:
checking for poptPrintUsage in -lpopt... no
configure: error:
*** libpopt >=1.2.1 required.
Does anyone know where I can get this package? Never heard of it
before. Btw, ORBit -0.3.91 compiles nicely.
