./macros/autogen.sh not found for gnome-games and e-conf

>From the latest checked out sources from cvs for gnome-games and
e-conf, I get the following error when I try to run autogen.sh:
./autogen.sh: ./macros/autogen.sh: No such file or directory
I've done cvs update -d to no avail...
