problems with enlightenment saving configuration

Hi, I am running gnome-0.99.7 from rpm.
All the configurations in gnome and enlightenment works, but 
when I quit gnome + enlightenment enlightenments segfaults
with a core in my home dir, this results in the settings from
enlightenment doesnt stick when I fire up X on the next session
my .xinitrc reads as follows
exec enlightenment & gnome-session

Is this a enlightenment general problem or am I just doing something wrong
?
