cannot connect to esound server?

Hi,
I'm new to this so please bear with me.

I just downloaded the latest rpms for rh and installed them. That seemed to go
fine, but when I try to start X I get the following;

SESSION_MANAGER=local/apollon.olympos:/tmp/.ICE-unix/312,tcp/apollon.olympos:102

unable to connect to server port 35091
this generally means that the program could not talk to the esound server

Priority00: Starting Id = deafault0
Priority00: Cloning Id = deafault0
Priority00: Registering =(null)

ICE default IO error handler during an exit (), pid =315 errno=2

Any ideas ?
