gnome 0.99 for sparc problem

hello
i tryed to install gnome0.99 for sparc 
i 've downloaded it from rpmfind.net, and have followed the 
www.gnome.org install procedure .

rpm -ivh --replacepkgs 
with in order :

glib-1
glib10-1
gtk+-1.1.2
gtk+10-1.0.6-1
imlib
ORBit
gnome-libs
libPropList (not installed -- not ready for sparc)
libxml
libghttp
libgtop
gnome-core
imlib-cfgeditor
gnome-media
gnome-admin (not installed -- not ready for sparc)
gnome-utils
ggv (not installed -- not ready for sparc)
gtop
grpm (not installed -- not ready for sparc)
gnumeric
ee
gnome-games

after that, i tryed to launch the gnome-session, and :

[root@sun /root]# gnome-session

then the crash with a beautiful core !
the machine is a SS20 with no sound devices, RH5.2/sparc installed
any idea ?
