New to Gnome - need startup help with RH 5.2

I have downloaded all the RPMs I can find for Gnome 99.3.  I tried 
to interpret the Install script on th RedHat 5.2 cd but cannot get to 
first base. The first RPM on the list fails with a list of 5-6 
dependency RPMs. So, is there any straightforward instructions 
somewhere on how to install/setup gnome 99.3 RPMs and if so 
whould someone please point me to them(it). Thanks, Ashe Coutts
